Centre For Automation and Control

Centre for Automation and Control, An inter disciplinary initiative by department of electrical & electronics engineering organizing seventh batch of intensive training program on PLC & SCADA programming. Centre for Automation & Control was established in 2017 to promote educational and research activities in the field of automation and control systems. This Centre bridges the gap between industries and University with a distinctive capability to harness the intellectual energy of academia to impact Indian industries. It is established as an interdisciplinary centre in response to the rapidly growing interest of Indian industries in automation and robotics in recent years. In order to propel the centre through its visionary path, so many activities are going on in the campus. Industrial automation is the use of control systems, such as PLCs or robots, and information technologies for handling different processes and machineries in an industry to replace a human being. It is the second step beyond mechanization in the scope of industrialization. So PLC and SCADA technologies has vital role in this domain. As a leading government engineering college in Kerala, we have to take the responsibility to upgrade engineering community so as to accommodate them in tomorrow’s industry. Be part of the same.

About The Course

This is our ninth batch in this topic and the course is fully hands on basis. State of art software labs are arranged to conduct the course. Besides the simulation in computers we will provide enough interfacing sessions with modular working models to attain practical knowledge.

We have a PLC based Soap Making Plant(Mini Training module) developed by Dept. of EEE, to realize production industry automation using PLCs. Classes will be during all working days (Monday to Friday - Wednesday will be holiday) 9AM to 4PM

Admission will be on first cum first serve basis and seats are limited.
